Cataracts

A cataract is defined as a clouding of the lens, which can cause multiple symptoms:

• Early: May have no effects, doctor can monitor
• Middle - Late: Difficult near tasks, color changes, reduced light, change in prescription, blurring and dimming of normal vision

Cataracts are the most common condition in aging adults, with 65 year olds having a 50% chance of developing cataracts.
